Useless Padlocks
"Useless Padlocks"
You threw away the key to the door long before,
The door stands silent, it will open nevermore.
Behind that door, behind the walls, hard to find,
Is the power that will unlock your mind.
You didn't think, and now it's much too late,
For in that room holds your life, your fate.
Useless padlocks, a lock without a key,
Useless padlocks, they have no use for me.
Useless padlocks, like a dog without a bone,
Useless padlocks, the key's location is unknown.
We lock things up, so that people will not steal,
Put a lock on everything, tell me what is the deal?
This is the land of freedom, and the home of the brave,
But these useless padlocks will soon be our grave.
They try to steal things, just to have fun,
You don't need a lock, you just need a gun.
Useless padlocks, a lock without a key,
Useless padlocks, they have no use to me.
Useless padlocks, like a dog without a bone,
Useless padlocks, you can't lock up the things I own.
